Our church Sewing Ministry sews boys shorts for our Mission Team to take to Kenya. The twill tape is (and has been for past 3 years) used for waist drawstring. The sewing group chose to use the twill tape because it is easy to work with (versus elastic) and for the adjustability (versus elastic). Also being able to purchase in 75 yard rolls is much less expensive than at local fabric stores. The hand made clothing (we also make tee shirt dresses for girls) is lovingly sewn; and well received by the Kenyan children!
